How long does the booking process take?

If you booked instantly, you’re good to go. If you sent a request, your Host will typically respond within 24 hours. In the meantime, we may ask you to verify your identity—some Hosts require it, and it helps us ensure the safety of our community.

What methods of payment accepted?
The requirements for guests to be eligible for the payment plan: They need to pay with a credit card, debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay.
Widely accepted payment options

  • Visa, MasterCard, Amex, JCB, and debit cards that can be processed as credit cards.
  • Google Pay and Apple Pay.
  • PayPal.

What do I do if I receive a tax statement?
If a tax document was issued to you, you can get a copy of it in your WowMadeira account.

  1. Click on your host profile picture and select Account.
  2. On the Account page, select Taxes.
  3. Under the Taxpayers tab, select the > icon.
  4. The Tax documents tab shows a list of tax documents issued to you.

Can I use more than one payment method to pay for a reservation?

Yes you can, by bank transfer, but be careful to identify the reservation ID

Can I make changes to a pending reservation request?

Go to your Trips page to find important information, such as the address, your Host’s contact information, and your billing receipt. Check-in information is usually available 3 days before the reservation begins.

How do I cancel a reservation request?

  1. Go to Trips and click Show more trip plans.
  2. For a reservation that says Pending Host approval, click Cancel reservation.
  3. Click Cancel request.

How do I check the status of my reservation?

To check it, either find the message thread with the Host in your inbox, or go to Trips and click or tap Show more trip plans, then Show details.

How do I find my reservation?

What happens if my host cancels my reservation?

While rare, sometimes a Host may need to cancel a booking. We understand that this can significantly impact your plans. Rest assured that every reservation made on Rental.Welcomadeira including host cancellations within 30 days prior to check-in.

In the unlikely event that the host needs to cancel your reservation within 30 days of check-in, you automatically receive a refund and we can help find you a similar or better home to rebook.

What should I do if I forgot something at a place I stayed?

If you left something behind at at a place you stayed, message your host directly for help. If you need to have an item sent to you, you can send your host money to cover the shipping cost directly .
