It’s approximately a 10-minute drive to Calheta Beach, 30 minutes to Funchal, and 45 minutes to the airport. Hillside Villa is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, families (with children – crib and high chair available), and large groups.

The space

Hillside Villa is a luxurious three-bedroom property with breathtaking sea and mountain views, completed in September 2016. It offers 2.5 bathrooms (one en-suite) and a modern, fully equipped kitchen, including an induction hob, oven, microwave, freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, and a wide range of kitchen utensils, cutlery, pots, glasses, and crockery. Flat-screen TVs are provided in the living area and each of the bedrooms with local satellite TV and some international channels, as well as Netflix. The property benefits from a large secure garage for up to two cars. Inside the garage, there is a laundry area with a Samsung washing machine and a Miele dryer, along with a sink/laundry area. Indoor and outdoor clotheslines are also provided. Free Wi-Fi access is also available on the property.

Outside, the property boasts a private heated pool, a hot and cold water shower, and a spacious covered barbecue area with dining and seating areas. Additional outdoor seating, sun loungers, and an umbrella are provided, along with ample terrace space for relaxation or children to play.

Hillside Villa is centrally located in Arco da Calheta, with access to local amenities, including several supermarkets, cafes, bars, restaurants, and a pharmacy. Just a 10-minute drive from Hillside Villa, you’ll reach Calheta Beach with its golden sands. The property is approximately 30 minutes by car from Funchal and 45 minutes from the airport. It is recommended to have a car for exploring the island at your convenience. Hillside Villa is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, families (with children – crib and high chair available), and large groups.

Hillside Villa is situated in a quiet location ideal for hiking the levadas (must-visit hikes in Calheta include Paul da Serra, Rabacal – for the Risco Waterfall and 25 Fountains, Levada Nova, and the Prazeres to Paul do Mar walk) and is close to a bus route.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be aware that the third bedroom with the en-suite is located in the basement and therefore does not have views. However, there is a skylight that allows plenty of natural light into the bedroom and private bathroom.
